    Description

    This is a rare Quad FM-2 tube tuner in an FM-3 case; evidently they had extra 2-series tube units on hand and ran out of cases or the 3-series solid state tuners weren't ready in time to ship with the first 33/303 preamp/amp series production run.  This hybrid version was shipped between 1968 and 1971 until the FM-3 solid state units were fully on line.
    This unit is capable of very good sound in a Quad 33/303 system with a decent FM signal - included is an adapter plug for North American antennas; voltage is switchable between 120-240 volts, and a US spec power cord is attached.  Needs a DIN connection as on the 33 preamp or a DIN/RCA adapter for non-Quad components.
    Tube complement consists of 3 x 6BH6; 6BJ6; 6AL and 2 x 12AT7/ECC8
